New Opportunities to Volunteer - JANUARY 2018


CEDARBROOK NURSING HOME, Allentown has a fun opportunity for volunteers to help their residents play games on Tuesdays from 6:15-8:15pm.  A regularly scheduled game night takes place each week and volunteers are needed to escort their residents to in-house games and to help them play the games.  Examples of games are bingo, Yahtzee, and casino type games.  Call Kerry Magliane, 610-336-5684kerrymagliane@lehighcounty.org.

MEALS ON WHEELS OF LEHIGH COUNTY, Allentown is looking for volunteers (18+ years) to distribute meals to homebound individuals between 11am-1pm Monday-Friday.  Teams of 2 deliver to 33 routes throughout Lehigh County.  Drive a route or ride along as a visitor.  Bring a friend and form a team or let us provide a partner for you.   Training scheduled for Wednesday 1/31 @1:30pm.  Call Dawn Stillwagen, 610-398-2563, dstillwagen@mealsonwheelslc.org.

ST. LUKE'S HOSPICE, Lehigh Valley, Carbon and Monroe counties is seeking compassionate, dependable, and outgoing volunteers in these areas.  A hospice volunteer might hold a hand, read a book to a patient, be a listening ear, be a friend, and much more. THE HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RESTORE, Whitehall is actively looking for individuals (18+ years) and groups (4 people max) on Friday and Saturday afternoons to assist with the daily operations in the Donation Center, sales floors and working with the ReStore Staff.
