Meals on Wheels Summer Teen Volunteers

MEALS ON WHEELS OF NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Bethlehem needs students (age 14+) to volunteer as meal loaders.  Volunteers will be responsible for assisting volunteers with the loading of food coolers and hot bags into meal deliverer cars and maintaining the volunteer lounge.  Hours are 10am-11:30am Monday through Friday, June through August.  Training will occur on first scheduled day.  Call Janet Soos, 610-691-1030, janets@mealsonwheelspa.org.


Lehigh Valley Zoo Teen Volunteer Program


LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville would love for YOU to help with our Summer Zoo Teen volunteer program (ages 14-17).  Volunteers will enthusiastically engage and educate a diverse multi-generational audience with facts about wildlife species, conservation, and environmental issues.  Lehigh Valley Zoo is open every day 10am-4pm.  Teens must serve a minimum of 12 hours a week.  Call Timmi Fiske, 610-799-4171 x248, TFiske@lvzoo.org.

D&L National Heritage Corridor

Star of Bethlehem Festival : Sun Inn

Volunteers needed for The Star of Bethlehem Festival for Kids will be held Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 12 noon to 5:00 pm in the Historic Sun Inn Courtyard, 556 Main Street, Bethlehem, PA


This hands on Children's Festival in the arts and sciences is a free event for children.  Volunteers needed to run the Arts and Crafts programs.


  Some of the attendees will be The Lehigh Valley Zoo, Magician Magic Mike Montgomery, Karate demonstrations, Hope Lock Kennels, and lots of activities for our future artists.

Food Panty Clean-up Needed

Summer Camp Opportunity at Equi-Librium

EQUI-LIBRIUM, INC., Nazareth - Summer Camp for children and adults with disabilities and general public needs volunteers (age 14+ years) for four separate weeks (June 22-27, July 13-17, July 27-31, and August 17-21) from 8:30am-12:30pm.  Help with riding lessons (horse leaders and side helpers) and with horse related activities.  Horse knowledge is not required.  Short training provided.

Big Brothers Big Sisters - Volunteers Needed for the Corner Store Country Run!

Big Brothers Big Sisters is pleased to announce that they have been chosen as the National Charity for the 2015 Corner Store Country Run series that will take place in 10 cities throughout the United States to raised money for our mentoring programs.

On Saturday, August 22, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lehigh Valley’s race will be held at Lehigh University in Bethlehem. As a participating affiliate, we are asked to recruit 100-150 volunteers to help staff the event and in doing so, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to our local agency.

Whether you’re looking for community service hours, a way to get involved in the community, or simply spending a day volunteering with your family or friends, this is a great opportunity. See the attached flyer for more information.

Nitschmann Nation 5k Volunteers Needed


Volunteers are needed for the first annual Nitschmann Nation 5k to be held on Saturday May 30th at Illicks Mill. 
Volunteers are needed on Friday, May 29th to line the course with paint. On May 30th, volunteers will be needed for a variety of things including - check-in tables - water tables - course guides - general clean-up. 
Hours for volunteers will be from 8 am to 2 pm.

We will be having a spring festival & we're looking for lots of student volunteers to help work the various food, game, activities & raffle stands. All student volunteers working 3 or more hours, will be given a food voucher good for a free meal at the festival. Students will need to bring all of their paperwork to the festival so we can assure that they will get credited for their hours. There will be a check-in/checkout stand that the students will need to report to before & after their shifts to have their hours counted.

Steampunk Exhibit - Historic Bethlehem Museums and Sites

HISTORIC BETHLEHEM MUSEUMS & SITES, Bethlehem needs volunteers for "Steampunk" which is coming to the Kemerer Museum. Share this exciting world of industry, imagination, art, and design with our visitors! Volunteers receive free access to the exhibition and free or discounted program admission. Volunteers are needed from April 18 to November 1, some evenings. Training will be held the first week of April and will be ongoing throughout the exhibition. This coed youth sports association is offering a flag football program in partnership with the NFL running April – June.
