New opportunity with D&L

The D&L is launching a new outreach and public relations volunteer group this year. Being a D&L Ambassador is a great opportunity for volunteers of all ages. Please see below for more details:

D&L Ambassadors

The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor (D&L) Ambassadors serve as representatives of the organization to the public in various roles. D&L Ambassadors are required to attend one training session to learn about the organization, how it operates, and how to explain what the D&L does to the public. Trainings are offered monthly.

D&L Ambassadors will represent the organization in the following ways:

1. Host “Pop Up Visitor Centers” along the D&L Trail. This involves setting up a table at a D&L Trailhead for several hours, handing out promotional materials and trail maps, and answering questions about the organization. You can choose the dates and locations you’d like to host a Pop Up Visitor Center.

2. Represent the D&L at Corridor outreach events. This involves setting up a table at scheduled events like PeepsFest, local festivals, race expos and more. D&L Ambassadors will hand out promotional materials and trail maps, and answer questions about the organization.

3. Represent the D&L at National Canal Museum membership tables. This involves setting up a table in the National Canal Museum Welcome Center and promoting D&L Membership to visitors. You can choose to do this any day that the National Canal Museum is open, but the priority month for membership tables is June.

To learn more about the D&L Trail and National Canal Museum, please visit: delawareandlehigh.org. To ask questions or sign up, please contact Terri Monserrat: terri@delawareandlehigh.org or (610) 923 - 3548 x224.
