AMERICAN RED CROSS, Allentown is looking for volunteers to help Sound the Alarm on Saturday, April 25, 2020, as they work alongside local fire department personnel, community leaders, and members of the public distributing and installing free smoke alarms, sharing critical fire-safety tips, and helping to save lives!  Equipment, supplies & training provided along with breakfast and lunch. 


The Red Cross SOUND THE ALARM campaign returns to our region and we need your help! Find a date and location that works for you. Then RSVP to Ned.Bloom@redcross.org.

  • BUCKS COUNTY:  Saturday, March 28, 8:30AM thru a celebration lunch. Meeting at the Lower Southampton Township Building, 1500 Desire Avenue, Feasterville, PA 19053

1. Safety Patrol- from 3pm-4pm help with dismissal at Lincoln

2. Reading Buddies - from 3-3:30pm help Lincoln students improve their reading skills by listening to students read, reading together, or practicing a specific skill designated by the classroom teacher. Looking for approximately 5 volunteers

LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville 

is looking for volunteers (age 13+) who love animals, want to meet members of the local community, and want to have fun while contributing to a great cause to be General Zoo Volunteers. The Zoo is open 7 days a week from 10am-3pm (Nov-Mar) and 10am-4pm (Apr-Oct). General Zoo Volunteers will rotate to help at various interactive stations, may also assist with an event themed games, crafts, and activities. Call Julia Seeley,

BIG BROTHERS/BIG SISTERS OF THE LEHIGH VALLEY, Allentown 
seeks volunteers to be mentors "Bigs" for children "Littles" in their After-School Mentoring Program. "Bigs" and "Littles" spend time on creative arts projects, recreation, health/nutrition, math games, and more; no math, computer, or tutoring skills needed. Volunteer on Thursdays from 3:30-5pm.
