Thursday/Friday volunteer opportunity with the ReStore!

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY LV RESTORE, Whitehall - Come to ReMix latex paint and create new recolor latex paint for sale at the ReStore.  Assist with sorting colors, opening paint cans, mixing paint, dispensing the new paint, and labeling new cans.  Shifts are 10am-2pm or 2pm-5pm on Thursdays and Fridays.  Call Camille Urbano, 610-776-7737,Camille@habitatlv.org.

Do you love Harry Potter?!?!


WILDLANDS CONSERVANCY, Emmaus is looking for some wonderful, wizarding volunteers to assist during a Harry Potter Book Release event on Saturday, July 30th.  Duties include directing traffic and attendees to various spots in the preserve and answering questions about the event which features various magical stations throughout the woods, including wand making and teal leaf reading.  Available shifts are 9:30-11:30pm or 11pm-12am.  Call Heather Pritchard, 610-965-4397, hpritchard@wildlandspa.org.

Miller-Keystone Blood Center Volunteers Needed

MILLER-KEYSTONE BLOOD CENTER, Bethlehem is looking for Canteen Attendants every Saturday from 10am-1pm attheir Allentown site 1255 S. Cedar Crest Blvd, Suite 1300.  Canteen attendants monitor blood donors after their donations, serve drinks/snacks to our donors, and ensure donors are feeling well before leaving the site.  Volunteers with flexible availability are also needed.  Orientations will be held.  Call Janice Brown, 610-691-5850, jbrown@giveapint.org.


August 14th - Run Wild at Lehigh Valley Zoo


LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville - Run Wild at the Zoo, an annual 10K and 5K run and a 1 Mile Family Fun Walk, will take place Sunday, August 14.  Volunteers are needed to help with registration, direct runners on the course, and help distribute water after the runners cross the finish line.  Call Timmi Fiske, 610-799-4171 x248, tfiske@lvzoo.org.

Special Olympics Gymnastics/Soccer/Basketball Coaches

BETHLEHEM SPECIAL OLYMPICS needs volunteers to be Soccer Coaches for weekly practices 3-5:30pm on Sundays from August until November.  Gymnastics Coaches are needed for weekly practices at 7:30-8:30pm on Thursdays from January through June.  Basketball Coaches are also needed for weekly practice sessions at 6-8pm on Mondays from January through June.  Call Dana Lindsey,

VegFest Volunteer Job Descriptions

Set-up Volunteers

15 volunteers who will work from 7am up to the beginning of the festival. These volunteers will help with set up, including: tables, yard signs, merchandise, trash and recycling bins, signage, tents, bars, chairs, and entertainment stage.

Vendor Assistance Volunteers

8 volunteers to work from 11am-6pm. These volunteers will help direct vendors to their location, provide information about parking, assist with unloading vendors’ vehicles, etc., to make the set up process as smooth and flawless as possible! (there will be a lot of people coming in at the same time)

“Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” Volunteers

10 volunteers to work from 11am-7pm. These individuals will be responsible for monitoring trash cans, recycling bins, and any litter on festival grounds. These individuals will be provided latex gloves, so they can handle trash properly. These volunteers should be “able-bodied” and willing to carry heavy trash bags, move trash cans to dumpsters, etc.

Main Stage

2 volunteers to work the entirety of the festival (12-5 pm).  These volunteers will be stationed at the Main Band Stage assist with sound equipment/band set-up and break-down. SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THIS DEPARTMENT.

Acoustic Stage

1 volunteer to work the entirety of the festival (12-5 pm). This volunteer will be stationed at the Acoustic Stage, to assist with sound equipment/band set-up and break-down. SHOULD HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THIS DEPARTMENT.

Speaker’s Tent Concierge

1 volunteer to work 11am-6pm. This individual will be responsible for directing people into the tent for each speaking presentation, as well as out of the tent at its conclusion.  This volunteer must be outgoing, and must be familiar with the various speakers and their topics, so that they may provide information to people passing the speaker’s tent.

Cooking Demo Volunteers

2 volunteers (11am-6pm) These individuals will be responsible for providing assistance to the Cooking Demo Chefs.  They will be responsible for cleaning up the Cooking Demo Station between demonstrations, assisting with dish-washing, and providing information about the “current” demoing chef during each demonstration.


Clean-Up Volunteers

20 volunteers to work at 6 o’clock until clean-up is completed. These individuals will help break down tables, tents, chairs, signage, as well as handle recycling/garbage, etc.  These individuals will work quickly and efficiently to ensure that the Greenway is returned to a clean linear park!

Youth Volunteers Needed - Holy Family Manor

DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, INC., Easton is looking for trail tenders and trail patrol volunteers.  Trail Tenders perform clean-ups, brush and branch removal, and other trail activities.  Trail Patrol volunteers patrol the trail on bicycles in all five counties, answer visitors' questions and tend to their needs, and look for fallen trees, erosion, and other trail maintenance issues.  Call Lauren Golden, 610-932-3548 x227, lauren@delawareandlehigh.org.
