Marvine Elementary School

Meals on Wheels of Lehigh County, Allentown

MOW needs volunteers (18+ years) to do grocery shopping for homebound seniors and adults with disabilities in an area of Lehigh County that works best for you.  Flexible scheduling based on client's needs (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly).  A 40 minute orientation is required.  Orientation scheduled for Wednesday 3/1 @ 6:30pm, or call/email to schedule a one-on-one that fits your schedule.  Contact Lindsay Fly, (610)841-7132, lfly@mealsonwheelslc.org

AAUW Bethlehem Book Fair

AAUW needs volunteers on Saturday mornings (9am to Noon), March 25, April 1st, 8th and 15th. They need to know that you plan on volunteering in advance - they require no more than 3-5 students per Saturday. Contact Debbie Spinney at dspin202@ptd.net

Northeast Ministry, Bethlehem

Northeast Ministry needs volunteers to assist with the facilitation of their Older Youth program.  This program meets one evening per month, generally on a Thursday, from 5:30-7pm (March 16th).  The program offers a positive, supervised venue for youth in grades 9-12 to socialize, learn new skills (resume writing, how to apply for college, and much more).  Duties include set-up, clean-up, interacting with youth, and serving as a positive role model.  If interested, call Paula Johnson at (610) 691-3355, johnsonp@northeastministry.com

Farmersville Elementary School

Farmersville Elementary has 2 Upcoming Events:


  • Clothing Drive on Friday, March 10th from 6-8PM & Saturday, March 11th from 10AM-12:30. They will need assistance during those times to assist with clothing bag donation acceptance, and generally tallying of bag count and weight. Contact cathybrodhead@gmail.com for more information!

TOUCHSTONE THEATRE

The theatre is in need of volunteers for their show, The Complete and Authoritative Tour of Holy Stuff. 1 Usher is needed for each performance & 1 cafe attendance is needed for Sunday performances. Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis, and you are more than welcome to fill multiple slots. First time volunteers should also be available to schedule a brief orientation on a day prior to their shift.
Ushers - 7:00-8:15pm on Mar. 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11; 1:00-2:15pm on Mar. 5 and 12.
Cafe - 12:30-2:15pm on Mar. 5 and 12.

Help Recycle @ LHS or FHS

GRASS Recycling & Sustainability Project (For LHS Students Only!) -  Student volunteers are needed to collect and coordinate recycling at Liberty. Students are needed daily. Please contact Mr. Zahm for more information at gzahm@basdschools.org

FEAT (For FHS Students only!) - Freedom’s Environmental Awareness Team is always looking for new members to help with coordinating and collecting recycling!  They recycle after school most Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students meet in room 143. As the weather gets warmer, they will also need volunteers to work in the courtyard with weeding, mulching, planting, and general clean-up. YWCA Bethlehem STEM

YWCA Bethlehem:  YWCA Bethlehem has opportunities for mature students to assist with our TechGYRLS After-school Program.  Minimum commitment is 3:30 – 5pm one day per week (Monday – Thursday), Feb 27 through April 7.  High school volunteers will assist a YWCA instructor during after school STEM lessons with fourth and fifth grade girls at a BASD elementary school.  Interest in science and a friendly attitude towards kids a must.
