Volunteer Opportunities - March 2018 (2)

EQUI-LIBRIUM, INC., Nazareth needs volunteers (14+ years) to be horse leaders and side helpers to assist during horseback riding and cart driving lessons for children and adults with special needs. Our next 11-week session starts March 12. Volunteers sign up to help the same participant for one hour once a week for 11 weeks. Trainings are scheduled from 12:30-3:30pm on 4/14, 5/12, 6/2, 7/14, 8/11, 9/8, and 10/6. Call Yvonne Darlington, 610-365-2266, volunteer coordinator@equi-librium.org.

MEALS ON WHEELS OF NORTHAMPTON COUNTY, Bethlehem is seeking meal delivery volunteers (18+years). Volunteer daily or as little as twice each month, according to your availability. Volunteers must possess a valid driver's license and have car insurance. The application process includes a criminal background check, orientation, and on-the-road training. Call Keri Young,

NORTHEAST MINISTRY, Bethlehem is seeking volunteers to tutor students in grades 1-12 during their After School Homework Club, Monday to Thursday from 3:30-5:30pm. Tutors assist students with homework, reading, and school projects. All tutors must complete and pass background clearances prior to volunteering. THE GRESS MOUNTAIN RANCH, Orefield has 70+ pet and farm animals that need volunteers to help feed/water, clean their pens and do some light maintenance at the ranch. WILDLANDS CONSERVANCY, Emmaus needs volunteers to help with their Wild Eggs Event on Saturday, March 24. Help with fun activities for kids: coloring, cookie decorating, transform wooden eggs into wild animals, make bookmarks, visit with animals, and hunt for eggs on their nature trail.   Help also needed for check-in and parking. Volunteer Opportunities for March 2018

AMERICA ON WHEELS MUSEUM, Allentown is seeking friendly, dedicated volunteers (16+ years of age) for the 2018 Season. Hours are Wednesday 10 a.m - 1- 4 p.m.  Areas to consider for sharing your time and talents: School Field Trips, Summer Camp Session in July, Admissions Desk with cash register (training provided), or helping in the 1950's Café serving hot dogs and ice cream. THE SALVATION ARMY CHILDREN'S SERVICES, Allentown is seeking energetic individuals to join their Rock N' Run 4 Kids Committee. Help organize the Annual Rock N' Run 4 Kids held at Coca-Cola Park in May, 2018 which includes a 10K, 5K & Kids Fun Run, and many fun activities for families in support of kids in foster care.
