Fountain Hill Elementary School Carnival

Fountain Hill's Carnival will be on Friday, May 26. They need volunteers from 4:00 - 7:30 PM to help with face painting, running games, making snow cones, and spin art. They will also need volunteers to help after the carnival ends to take down & clean up. Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor

The National Canal Museum (NCM), a program of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, is searching for volunteers to serve as docents (docent: person who acts as a guide, typically on a voluntary basis). Docents do not have to have experience giving museum tours, but should be interested in the transportation and industrial history of the region, enjoy talking with the public, and should enjoy learning new things! Docents can choose from working in the NCM gift shop, greeting visitors, and/or providing tours of the museum to visitors. The minimum age for volunteers is 16.

  • The National Canal Museum opens on June 3, 2017 and is open weekends only until June 11.
  • Starting on June 14, 2017, the National Canal Museum is open Wednesdays through Sundays until October 1, 2017.
  • From October 7, 2017 until October 29, 2017, the National Canal Museum is open on weekends.
  • The National Canal Museum hours are 11:30 am - 4:30 pm on each day it is open

Training is provided in late May. Background checks required, but are free.

The Salvation Army's 6th Annual Rock 'N Run 4 Kids!

Calling volunteers of all ages! The Salvation Army Children's Services is looking for volunteers to help with the 6th Annual Rock N Run 4 Kids 10k, 5k, and Kids Fun Run at Coca Cola Park.
Positions include Course Marshalls, Cheer Zones, Photography, Face painting, Musicians, Dance teams, Registration Assistants, Hospitality helpers, and much more!

Help make this agency fund-raiser a success while raising awareness about foster care needs in the Lehigh Valley! No training or special requirements needed!

Freemansburg Elementary School's Family Movie Night

Freemansburg needs 5-6 volunteers for their Family Movie Night on Friday, May 5 from 5:00-8:30 PM. Star of Bethlehem Festival for Kids

On Sunday, May 21st Star of Bethlehem will be hosting their Festival for Kids from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM at 100 W. Lehigh Street (where Main Street meets Lehigh Street) in Bethlehem. They will need help before the event starts with setting-up, and after the event ends with take-down. They will also need volunteers to assist during the event: helping the children do crafts and with the general operations of the event. Lehigh Valley Zoo

The Lehigh Valley Zoo needs volunteers to be an integral part of the zoo family by providing Smart fun for over 200,000 visitors annually. Da Vinci Science Center

Da Vinci Science Center needs summer teen volunteers (15+ years) from June 19th to August 25th. Volunteers needed to run live science demonstrations and assist on the exhibit floor.  Also need Summer Camp volunteers to assist lead counselor with lessons and camp games. Hanover Elementary School Festival

Hanover’s Festival will be held this year on Friday, May 26th from 4:30-7:30. Details are as follows: Set up is from 2:30-4:30;  2 festival shifts - 4:30-6:00 & 6:00-7:30 - where volunteers will be needed; Clean up afterwards from about 7:30-8:30. All students working the entire festival (4:30-7:30) will be given a food voucher good for a meal. In previous years, BASD students have been a tremendous help and this event couldn’t run without your volunteered time! Portuguese American Club

The Portuguese American Club will need volunteers with serving and cleaning up after their Mother's Day Dinner Dance on Saturday, May 6th.
