Charger Records is a student-run Records company where students can write and record their own original songs. Using the same software and computers professional recording studios use, students can create their own music and learn the same techniques used by the music industry. Students will learn to work with microphones, MIDI keyboards, and other recording equipment in collaboration with other student musicians, songwriters, and student engineers. This program meets Thursdays at 3:05 to 4:05 PM at East Hills. An interest to learn recording technology is beneficial; musical knowledge is helpful, but not necessary. Students need a desire to write original songs, learn the applications we use to record our songs, and mentor younger students.
