COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT
"GO BAGS"
Students are needed to fill "Go Bags" with supplies for elementary students. Tasks will include counting out items, assembling items into pencil pouches, inserting papers into sheet protectors, assembling the sheet protectors into folders, and then adding all items to the bags.

LEHIGH COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY, Bethlehem is currently looking for volunteers to help care for 4 cats that will be up for adoption at PetSmart in Bethlehem. I am looking for 2 volunteers for each 8-10AM shift and 5-7PM shift. Volunteer for one or more shifts throughout the month of August. Each shift would feed, clean, scoop, and socialize with the cats. Min age 14 with adult supervision.

FEED THE CHILDREN, Bethlehem is looking for volunteers to help sort our Avon product so it can be put into boxes for children and families in need. Masks will not be provided; you will need to bring your own. We will provide gloves. It is important to maintain social distancing rules. You must be able to stand for 3 hours at a time and will need to be able to lift 15-25 pounds. Please bring your own water/drinks, and no food will be allowed. Children 11-15 years of age can volunteer with parental supervision. You must go to https://feedthechildren. volunteerhub.com/ to register for the date(s) that you would like to attend. If you do not register through the link you are not registered for the event.
THE GRESS MOUNTAIN RANCH, Orefield needs 2 volunteers per day to assist with feeding and watering the animals, and groups no bigger than 5 to help with grounds maintenance, composting, cleaning stalls, cutting grass & weed whacking. The minimum age with parent/guardian supervision is 10 years old, without supervision is 14 years old. Volunteers are required to wear masks and to social distance. DELAWARE & LEHIGH NATIONAL HERITAGE CORRIDOR, Bethlehem is seeking volunteers to be Greeters who will be responsible for managing visitor traffic coming in and out of the National Canal Museum. This position serves as the first and last contact for visitors to the museum. This person sets the tone for the visit and strives to ensure visitor's needs and hopefully, expectations were met. Abilities required include a friendly and welcoming demeanor, attention to detail, and communication skills. Hours based on availability and desired commitment, but preferred minimum of 6-hour shift on a weekly or biweekly basis. Minimum age 16. ALLENTOWN AREA ECUMENICAL FOOD PANTRY needs volunteers Monday, Thursday and Friday, and an occasional Tuesday. Volunteers will pack groceries 12PM -2/2:30pm into 2 bags each for the number of clients who have come that day. Everyone must wear a mask. Call Vanessa, 610-821-1332, aaefb1978@gmail.com.

ANTINANCO EARTH ARTS SCHOOL, Bath is seeking local volunteers, youth groups, high school and undergrad students to participate in the tree planting event on September 27, from 10AM - 6PM, where we will be planting 25 American Chestnut trees at The Lee and Virginia Graver Arboretum of Muhlenberg College in Bath, PA. The project includes educational presentations by environmental and reforestation experts, and the distribution of educational materials on environmental literacy, sustainability, reforestation, and tree planting. In addition, a field course to high school and undergrad students will be offered. Community service certificates are available upon request. MUSEUM OF INDIAN CULTURE, Allentown is looking for volunteers to clean up the gardens at the Museum of Indian Culture and get it ready for a small Artifact show on 8/15. We would be able to accommodate helpers weekdays or weekends for this social distancing and fun way to connect with nature and get service hours! We are looking for help throughout the week Monday-Sunday 10-4. All ages and group sizes welcomed; under 16 must come with parents. Tools available but welcomed to bring your own.
