LEHIGH VALLEY HEALTH NETWORK, MARATHON FOR VIA, Lehigh Valley is seeking volunteers (adult supervision for ages 12-14 years) for their annual marathon on Saturday, September 7 (9am-5pm) and Sunday, September 8 (5:30am-1:30pm). The Marathon takes place starting in Allentown, through Bethlehem, and ending in Easton, PA. Volunteers are needed to help with registration, pack pick-up, hand out water to runners, and course marshal spots (cheering on runners) along the route. EQUI-LIBRIUM, INC, (EQUINE ASSISTED ACTIVITIES & THERAPIES), Nazareth needs volunteers (ages 14+) to help during half-day Horse Camp for the week of August 12-16 (ages 4-7). LEHIGH VALLEY ZOO, Schnecksville needs volunteers to help at their 12th Annual Run Wild 5K/10K for animal conservation. Volunteers are needed from 6:30-10:30am on Saturday, August 17. Volunteers will be helping with stations such as registration, check-in, water/snack stands, timing & awards, course guides and trail safety, and more! FEED THE CHILDREN, Bethlehem is accepting volunteer applications for their Teacher Store where teachers from Title I school districts to have the opportunity to shop for free school supplies four days a month. Dedicated, outgoing volunteers are needed from 1:30-5pm every Wednesday of the month to help with check-in/out, assist shoppers, restock the store during the week. NEW BETHANY MINISTRIES, Bethlehem has volunteer opportunities with their Digital Choice Food Pantry. They need volunteers to enter inventory into their grocery database, stock shelves, and distribute orders to guests on a regular basis (daily, weekly, or monthly) from 9am-noon, weekdays. PHOEBE HEALTH CARE CENTER, Allentown needs individuals/families/group volunteers (age 13+ or entering 8th grade) to help transport residents to/from their rooms before/after a Pool Party on July 25, a Summer Picnic on 8/7, and a Summer Concert on 8/24.
