FHE Spring Carnival

Fountain Hill Elementary annual Spring Carnival is next Friday, May 27th and we need your help!  

We are seeking volunteers for our daytime event for our students (9:30am - 11:30am and 1:00pm - 3:00pm) and the evening event for families (4:00pm - 7:00pm).  Volunteers will help run games, manage the dunk tank (don't worry, teachers will be the dunk tank victims!), manage the moon bounce, face paint, etc.

Calypso Elementary Carnival

 The Spring Carnival will be held at Calypso Elementary on Friday, June 3rd at 5pm.  Volunteers are needed for 3pm until 10pm - and for any hours within that time frame!

Summer Opportunity with Camelot for Children

CAMELOT FOR CHILDREN, INC., Allentown needs Camp Buddy volunteers (age 13+ years) from 6/20-8/5 to be matched up with a child with a disability to help them throughout the camp day.  Training date is June 14.  Call Christine Cleaver, 610-791-5683, chrisc@camelotforchildren.org before June 10.

Northeast Softball Need Volunteers THIS WEEKEND!

Habitat for Humanity/Promise Neighborhoods LV Block Parties

HFHLV and  PNLV (Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley) will be holding several block parties in the next upcoming months! The volunteer opportunities will range from set-up, take-down, working games and HabitatLV literature table. 16 years and older. 

We are looking for 20 volunteers for each Block Party and the shifts will be divided into 2 hours (you are more than welcome to sign up for multiple shifts). All shifts will be posted on our Volunteer Hub in the next fews days.

Food Bank at Central Moravian Church

Central Moravian Church Food Bank.    Volunteers are needed on the third Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.   Assist in organizing food, help clients as they choose food items, and help clients carry food bags out of the building and to their transportation.   Spanish-speaking volunteers are especially welcome.    Call Joan Kolessar 484-387-9260 or email joanniecool@gmail.com to sign-up.  

Salvation Army Rock N Run Volunteers Needed

THE SALVATION ARMY CHILDREN'S SERVICES, Allentown is looking for volunteers to help with their 5^th Annual Rock N Run 4Kids 10k, 5k, and Kids Fun Run at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday, May 21 from 7:30am-11:30am.  Positions include marshals, cheer zones, photography, face painting, musicians, dance teams, registration assistants, hospitality helpers, and much more!  No training or special requirements.  Call Jan Musser Geier, 610-821-7706, jan.mussergeier@use.salvationarmy.org.

Boutique at the Rink!

CANCER SUPPORT COMMUNITY GREATER LEHIGH VALLEY, Bethlehem needs volunteers for their Annual Boutique at the Rink, a sale of new and gently used items.  Help set up May 2-27 - Mondays & Wednesdays 9am-7pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 9am-1pm.  Volunteers are needed to work a 4 hour shift on Sales Days: May 31-3:30-9:30pm, June 1, 2, 3 -9:30am-8:30pm, and June 4 7:30am-3:30pm.  Sign up on their website www.cancersupportglv.org or via email boutiqueattherink@gmail.com.

The Star of Bethlehem Festival for Kids will be held Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 12 noon to 5:00 pm on the Danny Rice Plaza, between Spring and Lehigh Streets, Bethlehem, PA

Community Service with BASD Information Services

Attention: Are you a BASD Student currently in grades 8 through 11 and looking to earn community service hours? The BASD's Information Services Department is looking for responsible students interested in computer technology  to assist them in their work throughout the summer season.

For more information, attend one of our two Community Service introductory meetings that will be held in our Department, located at Freedom High School. 

You may attend on  Monday, May 16 at 3:00 pm or Wednesday, May 25 at 3:30 pm.

Please meet inside the entrance doors closest to the FHS upper parking lot and wait there. Look for the sign on the door “Information Services Community Service Meeting".
